The Board Members have met with the contractor and have generated the following Snow Rules.
The contractor will use the following priorities when responding with snow removal resources:
1. Open up the main driveway for traffic into/out of complex
2. Plow parking lots (B, E and D Buildings)
3. Plow/shovel individual driveways and garage side entries
4. Shovel/blow pathways and porch steps
In order to follow this priority list above, Residents will be responsible for moving vehicles from the common area parking lots to their own garages or driveways, to make way for the snow plowing of the parking lots.
When the National Weather Service issues a Winter Storm Warning for our area, Residents must move their vehicles out of the parking lots before the start of the storm (either before leaving for work, or before retiring for the night).
Once the parking lot has been cleared:
RESIDENTS SHOULD CLEAR THE FALLEN SNOW OFF THE VEHICLE IN THEIR DRIVEWAY BEFORE REPARKING IN THE B, D & E parking lots. The individual condo driveways and garage side entrances will then be cleared of snow. Clearing the snow off before moving the vehicle to the parking lot will prevent the snow from falling onto the plowed parking lot surface between cars and forming icy mounds that make parking and footing a winter-long problem.
Pathways and porches will be cleared last by shovel and or snow blower.
Please NOTE: the snow contractor needs at least one side of each stair area open to pile snow.
If you have a boiler/furnace the vents out the rear of side of your unit, you must leave an open pathway for the snow shovel to clean (in the event of excessive snow). These new units usually shut down and will not run if the vent is blocked.
